This week I had the pleasure of working with Ria Browne who’s adorable new home grown business ‘Tiny Park Flowers’ launched just over the Holidays. Ria commissioned both the lovely Brek from Sesame Letterpress and myself to create a card to go with each potted plant she sells. Just a note to say I am back from Chicago. Had a lovely time - the highlights being our stay at the Hotel Felix which was divine not to mention a steal and my much talked about trip to the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio which was so amazing that I got chills! Anyway the store is back open regular hours and I am busy printing all sorts of Heart patterned items - bunting, Cookie Bags, tags and tiny pouches to hold romantic treats!
Foxy & Winston will be closed this week from Tuesday - Friday as Simon and I are making a short visit the wonderful windy city. Whilst there I plan on catching up with old pals, fellow stationers, also a visit to my old pal Paper Source (I used to work at the San Francisco branch) and some of the shops that sell Foxy goods Sprout , Greer , Green Genes are a few of them..Foxy & Winston will be back open for business on Saturday 23rd at noon.

I am ashamed to admit to having not sent a single Holiday Card this past year but I’m pleased to say that in some things I am ahead of the game - my Valentines are already designed, with screens made, colors sampled and cards out on the shelves in my Shop and its only January 4th Now available for purchase on Etsy .

Here is a sneak peak of the lovely line up, including designs for Valentine, Love in general and Engagements. I decided this year to go with love songs from the ages as my theme throughout starting with a bit of Rodgers & Hart inspired “My Bunny Valentine” with my signature Hare pair, then Pigeons mating along to a little Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn for “Come Fly with me”.

Jumping on to 1977 with a little help from John Paul Young with the Disco hit “Love is in the air” and ending with a little British post punk era inspiration from Joy Division with “Love will tear us apart” where two Golden Bear Hamsters tear apart a Heart covered Cookie - my firm favorite and I divine it to be the seller of the Season!
