ABOUT FOXY & WINSTON
British born illustrator Jane Buck was preoccupied with fashion from an early age: from selecting daily outfits for Edward her cross-dressing bear, to directing bespoke Barbie gown 'runway shows' on her Grandma Winny's coffee table.
Jane established Foxy & Winston (named after her parents who live in Norfolk, England) in 2005. Her charming shop and studio (opened in 2009) is in Red Hook, Brooklyn, just a few short blocks from the water and nestled in amongst a row of wonderfully unique stores. Here she creates playful and vibrant designs on stationery and textiles, using screen printing and letterpress techniques. Over the past six years she has built a reputation from whimsical and high-quality stationery, children's clothing and other textiles, custom invitations and announcements. She has sold her work in stores all over the US and had custom clients in London, Canada, New York and San Francisco.
Jane's inspiration comes from a love of animals, nature and travel, with a spot of humor thrown in for good measure. She is currently working with fair-trade artisans in India on a new line of fabric yardage.
Jane lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her Kiwi Husband Simon and her beloved Beagle Miss Hope.
